The south end of Bowen Island is where we have been concentrating our efforts over the last couple weeks. Results have been mixed over this period. Somedays we are getting into a handful of decent fish and on somedays we have been struggling to get a crack at one decent fish. We have been running anchovies and spoons between 70 and 140 feet.
We have been having some real good days over on the Gulf Islands however. We have been fortunate to find consistent action and decent quality fish off Thrasher Rock. The low slack tide has been especially productive for us. There have been fish into the 20's caught. Our largest on our last trip was 17 pounds. We have had our success on that side on green glows, chovies, and green/white hootchies.
Call us to book a local or Gulf Island Charter! We are dropping crab traps on each trip!
