Just wondering how long bloodworms are? I've never seen one other than flies.

they can be anywhere from 1cm or less to the "bombers" in Tunkwa that i've seen up to 1.5".

I am going to try this fly on the lakes...last summer we ran into a consistent spell of good fishing on San Juan worms at Leighton...perhaps this will do the trick under the indicator.

It is intended for streams, czech nymphing actually...which gives it the motion and action that seems to catch fish. It may be to sedentary in lakes.
Oh well, now I just need to find non lubricated pink jimmy hats...checked the classifieds, no luck there.
That is a lot of work for a bloodworm! It does look very nice but wondering if it is worth the effort. I put some effort into my dries and steelhead patterns but my blood worms are thin red pipe cleaner secured with a couple wraps of thread and that seems to work very well. Got me interested though and I will give it a shot. Thanks for the link.

I like the magic shrimp foil. Would make some wicked toning for saltwater stickle's.
