During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in Canada and around the world. With their “Mo’s”, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives.
Big steps have been taken towards changing attitudes and habits relating to men’s health around the world but there is still much to be done to catch up with the women’s health movement. Via the moustache, Movember aims to fulfill its vision of having an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health by continuing to spark conversation and spread awareness of men’s health each year.
Flyfishbc and Bcfishingreports wants to do its part to help raise awareness without all the moustachery, since not everyone can sport a mustache. Maybe you can’t grow one, maybe your employers won’t allow it? Let us help you support a great cause! We’re designing and printing some custom T-Shirts that we’d like to sell to you and everyone you know. If you’ve already committed yourself to a mustache then please spread the word to friends or family who you think would want a shirt. Or maybe you need a shirt to get attention away from your ugly upper lip.
Let’s not stop there, we’re feeling generous!! We’d also like to share some love with the Steelhead Society of BC. The Steelhead Society is dedicated to the ongoing advocacy of environmental education, stream restoration, dam decommissioning options, maintaining flow rates, mitigating the effects of hatchery programs, effective control of the Aquaculture Industry, as well as holding government and public agencies responsible for the natural heritage rivers provide.
All proceeds on these shirt sales will be divided between these 2 great causes. Shirts will be sold for 30.00, with 10.00 (roughly) per shirt being donated. The shirts become less expensive the more we sell, resulting in more money going to these charities!
