I have 50 chrome based ready and 50 that have a bulletproof white baked-on base coat. Trying to decide the color scheme. Suggestion box is always open. Send ideas, photos of favorite lures. If i use yours, I' ll send you 4 of them.

    Good thing, eh?

I've often wondered what they see...I guess they see enough to take a charge at almost anything.

I'm sure we've all seen fish caught on some funny stuff.
Apparently they see the colours we see plus the ability to see more into the ultraviolet. Here is an interesting article about fish vision. The author is talking about flies, but it is applicable to lures too. A lot of what he says is in line with what a lot of fishermen believe or know already from experience.

    Great read Dave.

And with this type of information, it's easy to see why there is so much "glow" and "fluorescent" gear all over tackle shop shelves.

What I need to figure out is---is it better to use fluorescent colors?--
or use regular brilliant colors with a clear fluorescent overcoating....

    Are the fish THAT discerning?

Hell, I just wanna catch salmon.....

    Cheers.

Ok heres the suggestion for your box............
Now I want you to only send me 4 that catch as many fish as this one does LOL
This was the 1/2 blue and 1/2 chrome coyote that has had all the blue eaten off..............I mean all the blue (not easy to see but there is still a little in the scale groves) and it still catches as many as it did new. Its just one of those lures that will be like loosing a family member when it happens.
I have since bought a few more of the same color and none have had the same catch success.

My feelings are most days color isn't really as important as the action and the flash but...........?

This is my "Go To" lure for Sockeye season on the Fraser. Float fishing this bad boy always gets results.

I dont have the talent to make these but I was thinking this would be easy for you.

    I'll take four please.

Nah TK..I don't make 'em, but get me the blanks, and do 'em up for you.
Perhaps a combo of blue and green.

And where the hell did you find that, anyways?

That's the 'message' lure I want to send down when the fish aren't biting.

Ok here you go Mike, what ever you do dont show this to anyone..............LOL

    Back side is just chrome

Personally I think this one lure just has unique swagger that the others dont but..........after thinking about it more I am beginning to wonder if the one with no paint was one of the originals that was made before the blanks started coming from overseas or something?
