My Dad and I about 12 years ago. Fishing a tiny little lake, or big pond, that was connected to a bigger lake. Dirt road, trail no boat access. We fished it for Largemouth Bass. Lots of fun. Slip bobbers, with sucker minnows. Toss into the weeds, and wait. We caught mostly fish in the 2 to 3 pound range, then he hooked this 6.4 pounder. I know they get much bigger in the states, but the first time you see a Bass that is this big you will say "Holy Shit" too. Their mouths are soooo big!
I just noticed he put this video up on his youtube channel a short while ago. Thought I'd share.
Thanks for sharing Lucas. Couldn't tell who was doing the commentary but i'm assuming that was you..
Life with out fish....there would be no life.
it's a double rainbow!
Leave it cleaner than when you found it
Yeah its amazing how big there mouths get when they get that big. Even the one and two pounders its amazing what they try and eat though. Biggest ive seen and caught was just over 8 at table rock, in arkansas.
Hah! thats awesome man! Great catch!
holy shit! ......
We have them that big here in the Fraser Valley. Hatzic has them to 8lb. Silvermere has some that will go 10, and Meadow Ridge Gardens Golf Course has some in their ponds that run up to 8lb. My personal best on a fly rod came out of Hatzic at 7lb. Great dry fly fish for those summer evenings when nothing else is moving.
Keep your fly in the water
