    Default Bonefishing short

Just played around with some video from my trip to Cancun. Just a clip of one of the smaller bones including the take. I think I'm going to have to get a polarizing filter, would be nice to see the fish better on camera.
    Enjoy.

    8. You could probably use a 6-9 but usually fighting wind, so 8 is a good number for some power. Also, if you did find a big bone, you'd be up a serious creek with a 6. I had my drag tightened down pretty hard and even that little bone took some good runs.

How did you like Cozumel? I was last there 15 years ago but thinking of a trip back. Is the east side of the island still fairly undeveloped? Where were you fishing for the bones?

I actually stayed in an area called Puerto aventuras, about 20 mins south of playa del carmen. I took the ferry over (30 mins/~30 bucks round trip) and Nacho picked me up there. There is a 20 minute drive to the "boat launch" and then another 20 mins ride to the flats. As far as I know, the only place to fish is the north end of the island. It's not the largest expanse, but more than enough water to fish for a full day. Saw big cuda, two permit, caught tarpon on poppers (flies), and tons of bonefish. I was pretty impressed by it all and would recommend it to anyone in the area.

What did a day out there set you back if you don't mind me asking?

375 plus tip. He's got a pretty basic website if you google it.

Seems reasonable. Was that you on your own or with others?
