Recycling is liberal, socialist, or communist? What kind of crap is that?

Well we better cut down some more trees in sensitive watersheds then, add some more plastic and such to leach into the water.
    Recycling.
    What a dumb idea.
    Thanks for clarifying.

Now, back to the regularly scheduled program.

Money talks. Unfortunately... Mine says: "Good-Bye"

I wish people would take the time to educate themselves before they open their yaps and completely embarrass themselves. Let's get to the point, and let's get this straight. The opposite of a liberal is a Conservative. The word Conservative comes from the word conserve. The word conserve means to prevent the unnecessary waste or harmful misuse of a resource (money, the environment, natural resources, etc.). A Conservative person is someone that preserves, protects, saves, safeguards, keeps, and looks after things/resources/money/environment to not be a wasteful person. Conservatives take all that money that they scrimp and save from not being wasteful trolls and invest it....and make a *@&#-load of money off their investments.

Saying that recycling is not a fundamental Conservative value is one of the most absurd and ridiculous things I have ever heard in my life. I don't know where you are getting your information from but you might want to do a bit of research before you open yourself up to further ridicule.

And I see that Konig is a brand-new member of the BCFishingReports community who just joined *today* so let me extend a warm welcome on behalf of the group here. We are a very friendly lot and we've all got a lot of wisdom and experience to offer. I really hope our shock and revulsion at your earlier comments doesn't scare you off....it sounds like you might just learn a thing or two by hanging out with us.

Being that he is a new member, and was commenting on an old (over 6months) post where the truck was probably purchased long ago, I suspect Koenig may be someone just trying to rile people up, as its hard to believe someone would actually display such ignorance, and choose to lay it all out in his first post. At least I hope thats it.

I have a 2015 F-150 2.7 liter ecobooster super crew. Fuel economy is excellent when taking it easy. 134 liter tank I can drive to Calgary. Pulling my boat which weighs around 2000 pounds, I burn more. I think commuting I'm at around 12L/100km, pulling the boat it was close to the 20's.
Previous truck was Dodge 1500. Interior of dodge is nice, but I am really liking the Ford. Seats are firmer in the Ford only downfall. Flat floor in the back is amazing. If considering a Ford, consider the larger trailer mirrors. I find the mirrors a little tough to get used to. Been 5 months now. Ford has full locking rear differential.

Not all recycling is desirable actually.
Recycling plastic and glass has been proven to increase carbon footprint than making new ones.
New approach is making plastic decomposable instead of trying to remake it into another plastic product.
Same as paper, the amount of chemical and energy required to process post-consumer paper: decolour, getting rid of impurities are creating more negative environmental impact than making paper from new material.
Pre-consumer paper can be recycled with much less impact vs post-consumer paper.
Another problem with recycled paper is the fibre will eventually get too short to hold it's integrity.
Paper industries gets tree from (Canada and USA) managed forest. These paper companies rotate harvest of these managed forest. The total forested area remained stable. New 'old-growth' cutting are mostly used towards building materials, as pulp making doesn't require the large dimension of the 'old-growth' trees.
To generalize recycling as good or bad is not all that simple.

    Just my 2 cents.
