Planning a fishing trip with an old friend this June. Thinking of Lund / Desolation Sound area, perhaps camping at the Copeland Islands. Anyone camped in this area before, and are there better spots to camp? Better areas to fish? Any and all ideas welcome. Just trying to put a plan together. Thanks.

Next week I will be heading off to Mabel lake for a camping trip with some buddies before the winter hits. Since I mostly fish mountain lakes, I am not used to fishing on big lakes so I need a few hints. I would rather use my fly rod than my spinning rod, but I think that this might limit me...

Out Saturday A.M. the concert beacons (headlamps and flashlights lifted and lighted the trail), marking the meat/honey holes; no fires so I guess the camping was at a minimum. Worked my way...

Move on to Tunkwa for a little camping June 25-27 and ran into the BC Outdoors "Fishing with the pro's weekend". Looked at the lake to see the algae bloom starting to happen. Once again the weather was very unsettled and fishing seemed to be quite slow. Most of the "expert" lake guys were...
