Hey guys,
Thinking about going to the tidal waters at Boundary Bay (Surrey) and I know the Coho runs can be pretty good down there but I was wondering when they come in? I heard mid-September was the best time to go... Would the first be in now?
Thanks.
Ladies and Gents, Since I'll only have your attention for a very brief period i'll keep this to the point.
I moved here Dec 2012 from Calgary. Grew up on the plains 3 hrs east of that. I love the water even though it was always so far away. I grew up fishing fresh water from local reservoirs...
Im from Campbell River BC and im wondering where to go for sockeye within an hour of Campbell River. I heard that Browns bay can be good but I have never gone. Anyone know where to go? and tackle and gear information would be good too since im new to sockeye fishing. Thanks.

Well, it’s that time of year! It looks like the rivers are out of shape with all this rain we’ve got over the last couple of days and warmer weather to boot. But as the steelhead rivers come on the rise it’s time to start thinking about planning some trout fishing trips and...

The last weeks have been Spey-tacular as guests were fortunate to catch the famous Steelhead Trout on the fly. With the rivers up and down in level like a frog in a frying pan the guys prevailed and never gave up. Fishing from the bush as the rivers are so high that finding a gravel bar to...
OVERVIEW – Salmon fishing was GOOD this past weekend from Port Renfrew to Race Rocks for Coho. There were very, very few big springs around and not too many smaller winter springs. Most of the salmon being caught are wild and/or fin clipped coho. Halibut fishing was GOOD this past week...

Hey All,
Just thought I would fire up this thread rather than reports being posted in seabuoy's "20 posts" thread. Those who are looking for some info in the "Saltwater General Discussion" may not see the info being posted in there.
So fire away.....I am "hoping" for a good report after...
Hey Guys & Gals,
I've been asked if I want to purchase a Sage 7100 rod but the only problem is, neither one of us know what it's worth.
It's an RPL rod (not the RPL+) which comes with a sock & tube and has never seen water. The person won the rod years ago in a silent auction for the PSF and...
Halibut, Salmon, Crab and Steelhead. The past few weeks have kept us very busy and time to write a report has been non-existent. So with a few days off before the Irish flood the lodge with laughter, cheers, Lepricons and tight lines we are getting boats ready to go. We operate with 5...
Hi folks,
I thought I would throw this question out as a little challenge to see how well people can interpret both the saltwater and freshwater regulations. If our good mods feel there is a more appropriate section for this post, feel free to move it. It is primarilya 'salt' question but...

Hi all,
I'm thinking of dumping my old saltwater Merc and getting a new BF2 Honda. Does anyone own such a model and if so,what is your opinion of it? I'd also like to know how long it would take to burn through 1L. of fuel. That is the amount the overhead tank holds?
thanks,oldman.
Daily angler reports can be found in the "Freshwater Angler Reports Section" or the "Saltwater Angler Reports Section" upon obtaining 20 or more posts. Posting the typical "nice post dude!" or “I agree”, just so they can reach member status or view the angler reports, is not permitted. As it is...
OVERVIEW – Salmon fishing was EXCELLENT this past weekend from Port Renfrew through East Sooke. There are sockeye just about everywhere and more big springs. Some pinks and hatchery coho are also showing up in the mix. This should be another real good weekend coming up. Halibut fishing was GOOD...
