Have caught many just like that with kids on the Fraser, once you open that belly you will find some skeins(eggs), that is a female ready to spawn. Give the eggs to someone who Sturgeon fishes .

Looks like one I hooked in Buntzen a few years back fishing a burgundy leach in a shallow weedy bay on the west side of the lake.

With trophy sized fish like that perhaps we should start a new discussion forum (like bass!!!) devoted to skwa/pike notreally minnows.

Has anyone heard whether government officials are really changing the names of Rocky Mountain and Lake white fish next year? Some people may be offended by the name...

Looks a lot like what we'd call in England a "Zander" or pike perch in some circles. Meant to be good eating ???
