Great News

The April 21st Cariboo Shuswap Regional District Meeting ( CSRD) on the development and Marina at the mouth of the Adams River

Highlights

- 1200 Emails and Letters against verses - 150 " FORM" letters in favour

- Developer withdrew the Marina and a part of the development that was described as " Tall Touwnhouses"

- Question was raised that since the application was so drastically changed - the whole application needed to be withgdranw and re submitted - The CSRD is seeking legal opinion on this

- The local Band Chief promised to take the CSRD to court if the development process was to continue any further

- At this point the developer and his team left the meeting


The fight is not one yet - we must press the government to buy this land and add it to the Haig Brown Provincial Park next door

Yep, wrote that letter yesterday... To Barry Penner and Gordon Campbell.

I encourage everyone to do the same... It takes just 15 minutes of your time...

Mention that the cover of the Regulations this year is a Photo of Haig-Brown, and there is a 60 year celebration of his contributions this year...

It would be nice to see the Government to their part by making sure this land is added to the park, as it should have been part of it in the first place...
