Hi
After much discussion 5 from Belfast have decided to travel to B.C. for 14 day,s in total. We have searched all the site,s we think relate,s to our trip. Nothing is booked yet, although it should be booked sooner rather than latter. So any advice or tip,s for the trip would be greatly appreciated,
Flying into Vancouver, middle September, flight next day to Terrace, hire car 8 day,s fishing that area, staying at the Copper Lodge Motel, look,s basic, but so long as there is a hot shower. Food and drink,s available in the immediate area, we are not hard to please. :beerchug: Flight back to vancouver, hire car and on to Chilliwack, staying at ADVICE, not sure where to stay in Chilliwack. Fish Fraser or surrounding area for four day,s, guide,s boat,s hopefully will not have to be pre booked as this, like all good plan,s, could go astray. :wallbash:
What is the terrace area like to fish mid September.
Tackle shop in Terrace, sure won.t remember everything.
Flight,s from Vancouver to Terrace, cheapest I could see were with an Airline called Pacific Coastal, seemed a bit tight with luggage , hand luggage under seat etc, rod,s o.k. weightwise?
Any advice, comment,s or remark,s, about above agenda, no matter how simple, funny or tell us we are totally wrong ,will be appreciated.
again thank,s in anticipation,
Bill

If you can push your trip up a couple of weeks you will do better...terrace and northern BC run about a month ahead of the southern part of the province...as for accommodation, if you are staying in the copper I would suggest a stretch of river about 1.5km east..nice little gravel bar with good fishing....best of luck :beerchug:

Thank,s for the replie,s so far, is it quiet salmon wise, in this area in mid september. We picked this area because of the smaller river,s and the wilder location and the five of us love to flyfish But it is not much good if the fish are not there in big number,s. Being total novice,s for fishing this area, we were hoping to get some good drive and fishing area,s close. We don,t expect the river,s to be packed with salmon, but will we at leastget some good salmon and steelhead fishing. We are pretty much stuck with mid September to start our holiday,s , so if a different area can provide better sport, please let me know,
thank,s
Bill

Since the skeena flows through the middle of town, opportunities are endless..roads and highways will take you to a multitude of spots..you can always swing a fly at ferry island with the rest....although I prefer finding my own piece of river. Tight Lines
