Can anyone tell me when the first run of salmon will hit this river? Also is it worth dropping a line in there at the moment??
PM me if you like ;)
Well the Allouette is closed to fishing upriver from 216th street until july 1. After that the river is usually pretty low and used heavly by swimmers but there are areas which hold resident rainbows. The salmon usually enter in late october to early november. The stave would be your best bet even now. You should still be able to find the odd cutty, rainbow and they have a good population of white fish. You could always fish from the dock at Mike lake or from shore at Rolley lake as both have been stocked with rainbow trout.
