Has anyone been out in the Pass or at Spider yet this year? Only three more weeks and I will be out for a week. I AM PUMPED for a landlubber :happy:

I was in the Pass from July 21-25 with a group of 18. The fishing was extremely slow (low pressure system knocked them to the bottom of the ocean so we had to fish very deep to get anything) and the largest catch was just over 40lbs. In 8 trips to the pass, this was by far the slowest trip - only one person of the 18 actually managed to limit out during the trip.
Now there is a year to build the energy for a little vengence next year.

Well, for those that read this post, I hope your luck in the region was better this season than ours. Of six trips to the Pass, this was by far the slowest... 18 people in the group and 1 fish over 30... only 5 of 18 limited out.
Hope the counts were better for everyone else, cause all this trip did was set us up with the energy to make a revenge trip next year.
