Just wondering if anybody was out there still plugging the waters? Thinking of heading out this weekend, weather permitting and I come here for some good banter but havent heard much lately. Whats going on out there o great gods of fishing? To be honest I love just being on the water and if there is even a chance at a fish its a bonus, right? that being said anybody catching anything?

Was out for a run last night past Vanier and down through False Creek. One truck and trailer parked at Vanier (not a nice night) and in jogging past Bonnie Lee, one of the boats had just come in with a "crew" and pulled what looked to be a mid to upper teens spring from the box. Just enough for the "clients" to have a big dinner.

I am off to Australia tomorrow for 2 weeks and will be crossing my fingers for some good "early October" fishing for you guys while I am "towing a line" down under. :peace:

Yep.

There's a few out there. You need a bit of luck right now to get 'em. Otherwise...it does look to be winding down.

Not many fresh fish showing up at this point.

Cap is kinda quiet. But a few being hooked out front for the effort.

I fished West Van and Point Grey for six hours Monday (Sept. 22), and West Van for two hours today. I left when the Gong Show started around 3PM. I fished anchovies near the bottom 70-90' deep, white & army truck hoochies, and a 4/0 green/white Coyote spoon for a while. With the tide, against and across. For all that and both days, three shakers. I've done quite well all summer, but for me at least things are dreadfully slow. I think I'll start trout fishing lakes and maybe hit the Vedder.
