Was out there three times in the last few days. It has been pretty slow, perhaps not good timing with the tides, high tides is getting later at night and it is very strong it that area.

In three days, total was 8 dogfish, one 18 lbs chinnok on Sunday and a good bite yesterday, after 5 hours of nothing and it got off after a good fight. Bummer.....

If you have a powerboat and are mobile for greater distance then my little sailboat, coal port likely not the best un less you are like me patient and just enjoy being out there.....fishing. Too me a bite and dinner is only a bonus....

Fished the Coal Port today and only 1 wild 5 lb Coho.
Had a couple other hits and a dogfish.
The crabbing is non existent right now as there are so many commrercial traps down there at this time.
Had a great time with a couple buddies and my sides are still raw from all the laughing.
Next time we will get you Mr.Chinook.

You can launch a boat at the Tswassen ferry jetty. You better make sure there's not going to be any wind forecast, before heading out in a small boat there. It can get nasty, on the open staight, so be cautious. Good luck.
