I was out again today and within 10 casts, I managed to hook, land, and bonk a beautiful 8-9 pound doe. Sorry, no pics as I no longer have a camera. It took me longer to drive to the river than it did to catch my limit. I'll admit, I was tempted to let her go, so I could continue fishing, but Murphy's Law and Karma prevailed.

She was definitely a fresh chromie, with her belly still containing a big ars bug. :)

Fish have been reported to be traveling in schools and are readily hitting roe and blades.

Nice report Lonefisher. :thumbup:

I also heard rumour of some chromage being bonkified today and also might mention that they had a particular attraction to both peach and chartreuse jigs. Sight fishing chromers in late April on the chedder :eek:, non typical fer sure.
