Not reallly a Babine Steel Head, thread. For a summer I worked around Burns lake as a fisheries surveyer (sp). I met alot of people, some of them were firstnations who fished the lake. They gave me places to fish... spots they dumped the guts and I found some great fishing for trout you couldn't tell from steel head. I'm not sure if they were trout from the lake or steelies... about as much differance as a bull trout and a dolly.
A calculation was need, # of rays, vs. lengthe of lower jaw.
I don't know but two of my biggest trout were caught from
Babine with flesh imitating flies.
