Hey guys,

I'm looking for a decent rod to take backpacking at a good price and I found these:
http://www.stcroixrods.com/product/triumph

I usually plan my hiking/camping trips around lakes. I plan on fishing for trout. Anyone here have any experience with them or recommendations for other rods that can break down?

Also, where can I get one locally around Vancouver?

Thanks!

I wasn't going to answer this 'cuz I don't know what's comparable but, Army and Navy has an Amundson Kudos 4 pc. 6' 6" spinning rod
(with rod and reel case) for 54.99 (save $15) for the next sale (starts May 26th)
Just read the flyer.

If that's any help....

Had a chance to look at the G Loomis Escape Series travel rods at this year's fishing/hunting show in Abby, and was shocked how stiff it was. It was a med.light 7ft 3pc spinning rod that felt like a 2x4. If it was the extra 2 connections in the blank, then I'd preffer a light telescoping rod that you can pick up for cheap at Army&Navy.
