Has anybody been over to Barkley Sound? How is the inshore and offshore fishing? Is it worth going offshore right now? Is 23 mile still producing? I'm hoping for some Hali's and Salmon. any reports or info would be great. :cheers:

Just got back from two weeks in Bamfield. Most of the action is offshore right now. I know that sounds goofy for this time of year. The Coho are still staying offshore. The guys running offshore are still getting nice springs, big Coho, and good Halibut.

Buddy of mine went out last weekend, and the lucky do is going back this weekend since it was so HOT!!! Actually, he lives in Nanaimo and moors his boat at Port Alberni.

6 Hours ........... 4 Hali, 8 Coho, 6 Springs.

I know it is not quite the same area....well sort of, but I have heard good reports still from Tofino and Ucluie.

I may do a day off Tofino this week on Thursday.
