I had a few pairs of Blackwaters and also one of the original Cutthroats when they were first introduced. The biggest plus about the Blackwater is the way they fit...they are hand down the most comfortable pair of breathable waders I have ever put on. They go on like a comfortable pair of jeans. BUT...all of them were leakers, some very badly when they were pretty much new.
Personally, I just wear Gore-Tex. Gore-Tex has been the only membrane in waders that I have tried that have had any amount of reasonable service life, and they ACTUALLY BREATHE!
They are also not as susceptible to solvents like DEET, which eats other membranes rather quickly.
The Simms L2 that was mentioned by another member in the other waders thread is probably one of the best bang for your buck out there, and it's Gore-Tex.
