Fished Terrell recently with a buddy who knows the lake well. I had been there before, but got disgusted with the thick weed growth .. I never really did much all day but pull weeds off my prop and gear.

We went across the lake from the boat launch and cast into the bull rushes. He uses a motor-oil colored Yamamoto worm with a weedless set-up. The key is to cast into the rushes, and just twitch the worm with a partial reel. He slowly brings it in with the twitches, letting the worm settle, and that keeps the weed off. I brought home a three pounder and he brought in two sixes! I'll be back!

No I haven't, but there is a a good amount of water with weed a least a couple feet from the surface. Frogs are popular too, so there is a lot of suface action.
