Chinook Fishing

As forecasted the BCChinook are starting to show up in great numbers. The past few yearsChinook fishing has been pretty good, but now fishing is literallybonkers! Our catches have been in the expected 10-25lb range, andthat is just the start. The commercial fleet is usually given just afew days opening each year, however this year they have been goingfor months with no signs of closing.

Now everyone canexperience the eventful BC fishing! The usual suspects are working. We have success with the 3-3.5 inch Coyote and Silver Horde Spoonsfrom 80-120 feet down. Green and Blue colors are very consistent hereand reeling in results! The glow needlefish hutchies are working aswell. The fishing hotspots Great Bear, Sail Rock and South Bank areall producing well.

Halibut Fishing
BC Halibut are alsoshowing up in good numbers. This year ranks high in the best earlyseason halibut fishing we have had for years. We found that bottombouncing and anchor with power bait have been successful tactics.

See the below forhalibut and salmon fishing pictures from this week.
