I think you'd have to try it to find out, but they do claim it will survive with 100% strength for 10 to 12 months. That seems reasonable, as degradability is usually expontential in its advance. The bigger question is how valuable would it prove to be? It won't completely degrade for 5 years. If you break off new line, it will be in the environment at 100% strength for a full year before it evenstarts to show signs of deterioration. Will this really solve any environmental impacts, or will it only serve to make us "feel" greener?
