Hit the chehalis in the am, walked around for a bit no biters,on the walk out i come across a guy blatantly snagging fish. He was decked out in bare fishing stuff, looked like he knew what he was doing. I watched him kill and then toss a female chum for the roe. I got a few pics of him and a short video i have sent to the dfo, as well as a truck description and licence plate, a blue pickup as i recall. I hope he gets whats coming to him.

it was on the lower part of the river. Witnessed another fine fellow yesterday, same area. He was sight snagging fish, atleast he released all snagged fish and i watched him kill 2 nice coho hooked in the outside portion of the mouth.
they love the micro pieces of wool. he might as well have been using a bare hook. no pics this time as he wasnt techniquely doing anything illegal, though we all know he was snagging intentionally

i've witnessed intentional snaggers on the chehalis for years. its a great thing that someone's actually doing something about it. what's ironic is that in all my years fishing that river, i've only ever seen dfo there at most 2-3 times.
