I am taking my boat to Bamfield but because it only has a 50 HP I don't want to spend 2 hours on the water especially if there is a chop and wind warning like there has been this summer almost everyday.

My boat is small enough and light enough to trailer safely and without doing damage to the boat. I can put up with the dust.

My question is, where do I launch in Bamfield and can where do I leave my truck and trailer?

Or, would it be better to launch at Poett's Nook ($16.50 to launch and park). Launching here would also save me the last 20 K of logging road, the worst section.

Bamfield has a concrete double wide lanch ramp. All but the largest boats can be launched on any tide. Price is $9.00 paid to the comunity park association who mantain the park and ramp. Lots of parking for both truck and trailer. Camping is avalible next to the launch as well but it gets busy in August. The last twenty K is not always the worst. So far the whole road has been quite good this summer.
