This last week has had a great combination of nice mild days, good winter Chinook action, and really good crabbing!

Fish has remained very consistent for anglers venturing out into English Bay. There has been good reports come from all over the bay. The fish as per usual in winter are hitting a wide array of different gear. We have been using our old stand-bys (green glow coyote and purple haze hootchies) with good success. The fish have been averaging in the 9-13 pound range with a few in the mid teens to low twenties caught this week. We managed a nice one around 16 pounds late last week. Some great quality for this time of year.

Productive depths have been between 80 and 140 feet. As we progress into spring it might be wise to start shallowing up some gear as there is sure to be the odd one cruising a little higher in water column.

We have had success off the Ambelside/Cap Mouth, the QB, as well as Jericho.

Good news as well!! We have purchased our new boat! It is a Grady White Gulfstream! This boat is truly a fishing machine! Now we can comfortably accomadate up to 5 guests in comfort!

Call us to book a charter!
