The chinook fishing here in Vancouver continues to be productive. After a lull in the action in early September, fish are being caught consistently off the Bell Buoy. We have been hooking 1-4 nice chinook a tide along with the odd coho and pink salmon. Anchovies have by been the ticket for us between 45-100 feet on the downriggers. The fish have been averaging in the 15-25 pound range with the odd bigger one.

We had a reasonable day off the Cap this week and managed one in the high teens and one in the low thirties. Fishing off the Cap should really start to get going at the end of the month.

With these big chinooks around we are getting pretty booked up, especially on weekends. Give us a call if you want to set up a charter during the prime time chinook fishery.
