Finally we are seeing some typical Vancouver winter weather over the last month! This has meant people have taken the protective armour off their boats and started fishing again- including us! The last few weeks have been really consistent in the harbour. There is now a good mix of undersize and keepers throughout English Bay. The standard winter tacks have all been kicking out winter springs. Jericho, the QB marker, West Van/Ambelside have all been good. This past week we have been doing well on the last couple hours of the flood and the first hour of the ebb of the Cap Mouth. We have managed to get a couple in the low to mid teens of the Cap in the last few days. Fishing fairly close to bottom with coyote spoons, purple haze hootchies, and bait have been working.

There have also been some decent fish picked up on the backside of Bowen Island as well. There have been fish reportedly into the mid 20's caught. We managed to head over to Tunstall earlier in February and were rewarded with a 20 pounder ourselves.

Good Luck Jeff/Jason
