I have only witnessed two three types of fishing in Hawaii. Trolling which is not very productive a pretty boring. Throw it out and leave it which is a bit more fun and you can get some huge Ulua, but again it is a sit and wait kinda fishing. Nice if you want to just sit get some rays and have a few pops. The last type with with a spinning rod, good sized weight, hook with shrimp and big honking float for distance. Just throw it out around the rocks and real it in.

No I'm going to try and flyfish for bonefish on this trip.
I've already got some locations picked out and I'm starting to get my gear figured out.
So we'll see what happens.

Please let us know how the trip goes. I had no idea Hawaii offered Bone fishing. Always thought it was an eastern tropics type of fishery. Good info. on that web site.

Finder
