Hi

Going to Cancun March 15th ( one week)
Anyone been north of Cancun for Bones or fish manageable on a 8 weight rod?

I would like to fish some bays or flats any close to Cancun?

I'm going to long Island in April (2 weeks) and have a guide arranged for a week and the second week is open, any info/ suggestions for second week. Trying to keep $$ down. Their are lots of places for all in for $3300 per week. Looking for a little cheaper suggestion.


Has anyone made it through security with flies at YVR??

The area around Cancun is finally recovering from the devastating hurricane it suffered and most of the beaches have been re built. The fishing around Cancun is really not that good. You would be better off to head towards Playa del Carmen and even further towards Belize (the road isn't great but driveable)...Taking the ferry from Playa del CArmen over to Cozumel might be a better choice..Hire a guide and fish deepwater.They didn't get slammed as hard and the offshore fishery is much better.....Be very aware in this area, especially on the road towards Belize...your car is a prime target.......Ortho 8)
