Anyone been out and had any success? If so where abouts and what were you using.....if I could be so bold to ask??

We tried this past weekend off the southwest side of Bowen and had nothing, but we really only put in a 2 hour effort.

I have heard of some fish starting to show in the harbour over the last two weeks. Generally the south side of Bowen is pretty hit and miss till at least mid March if not later. I would focus in the 90-120 foot range off Jericho and the mile markers or around the QB marker from now till early spring. Look for bait on your sounder. It seems that it is easier to pinpoint bait and fish in the relatively shallow waters of English Bay. Further offshore towards Bowen is a lot deeper and the fish don't you usually concentrate this time of year. The Cap mouth will kick out the odd fish on the last few hours of the flood especially. Good luck
