I am heading out to Houston this Thursday to fish for a week. What have the conditions been like? How have the steelhead been running?

Was there a couple weeks ago, there were good numbers in the system considering we were there in early sept. The locals are crediting the good early run to minimal commercial interception this year thank to limited sockeye openings. Should be much better by the time you get up there.

Water levels were just dropping in to great shape on our way out but as I am sure you know water levels can change up there at the drop of a dime.

my report today was the square tails are there and players are to be found. Doing well on the dry fly so that is always a good sign. Coho are in and the fishing reports section said that the chum are in the skeena system last week so....all signs point to good times! I will be just west of telkwa up and down the bulkley so if you see a blue and white harbercraft extreme shallow center console flag me down! cheers and tight lines :thumbup:

Just got back from 5 day trip on the Bulkley. Not the most fish I've ever seen, or hooked into, but I did land a 37"! Definetely going back up there soon. Will post pic asap.
