[Fish Finder]

Hey guys, I'll be up that way in three weeks to fish the salt. Any recent reports from the area, outside of the weekly one O.B. marine group posts?

If you like fighting seals at the Hump and Lightm, your in luck this is the place for you. Other wise the fish are blasting through the passage and stopping to feed on needlefish then blasting off again. Ebb drift at the light dragging the mud with a flasher and spoon or needlefish hootchie (disco queen,army truck and penut butter jam) Words of advice when the rigger pops get on top of your fish as fast as you can and put as much pressure on it as possible . Have a five gallon bucket of good throwing rocks so you can try and hit the seal thats packing your 16lb salmon around! And prey!

This is not a relaxing fishery! but it can be productive!

Thanks OP! Yeah I did battle a few seals last year off the hump. Smart buggers...they loved to wait until the fish started to tire before grabbing a hold. At one point it seemed to be a 50/50 shot wether you'd actually land a whole fish. :wallbash:

If your going to spend some time fishing in CR, you should head up to Green Sea and Chatham. Flood tides and Flasher Anchovie's. And if that's to much of a Run Browns Bay and Deepwater Bay are Good Choices as well. Especially if it's first light and on the end of an Ebb tide, the fish will tend to hold up against the wall and further north in the bay infront of the leaning tree and white rock! 45-90 feet. Straight Cut-plug or flasher anchovie.(sometimes there can be alot of doggies here to so switching to all plastic's might be your oly option. Good Luck!
