I bought a switch rod earlier this year, got set up with skagit line, sink tips etc, and after watching videos and reading on the internet I'm afraid I just can't get it! Anyone recommend a good instructor, I'm seriously thinking about taking up golf again.

Yep. Tim is a great guy and excellent instructor. Scary thing is - he's even a better spey caster. Aaron Goodis might also be putting on a skagit casting workshop. Check out his website at:

I took a skagit boot camp with Tim and Aaron a couple of years ago and it was worth its weight in gold! I had just picked up a new switch rod - just like robbo, so if they are doing the class again, I'd take it for sure. Good luck and welcome to the addiction.

Correction: the spey class is through Sea Run - check it out here:

That sea-run course sounds great, and I only live on lake errock so kilby is only ten minutes away. Unfortunately its a bit short notice, but I think I will give either Aaron or Tim a call to book a lesson.
Thanks guys.
