Went out to the cap after work yesterday, fought traffic all the way up there, man was it busy...

We started out around dog leg, and fished a number of pools, most of which required scaling the canyon. It was a desolate place, like a total dead zone, not a fish to be spoken of... Not even one roll.

Man am I sore today... that canyon is a good workout!

Cheers,
Nicole

wow guys u really find it that hard. Mabey its cus i'm used to it but it doesn't seem dangerous or difficult getting down in there.
LoL, young gun...maybe it might be because many of those commenting on the climb have legs that are a lot older than yours... ;)

Let me tell ya buddy, I am used to those kind of hikes, but I still notice the difference now compared to when I was in my twenties, even my early thirties...

Time catches up to all of us YG...one day we'll all have to give up many of our favorite spots for easier paths and slower drifts...

In the meantime, live it up young gun...

thanks for putting it nicely rib. One day i wont be able to get down there, but until then, as long as there are fish, i'll be there, and the chehalis canyon, and the thompson canyon. Good spots come to those who look for them, age is not a limitation but physical ability is. A guy could be 70 and out hike a guy in his 30's. all depends.

Been in Cap today again today with a little hope to see fish at least and yes we seen two bad looking steelies still swimming. Very nice pools out there, waded river in some spots and when sun was warming everything around we decided just to relax and swim in the pool. Cold water was very refreshing.
