yes, there's a few decent pools around there; but it gets crowded very quickly (because its so easily accessbile)
you're probably better off going for a hike...there's a lot of pools if you put in some effort in getting to them (be careful because there's some steep cliffs that aren't even worth trying to climb down)
The whole river is easy to get to by bus and a little foot power! Spend the day looking and fishing for spots that you might think are good as you just never know what is sitting in there waiting eace: :cheers:
