Has anyone tried to fish by the mouth of Capilano River, just off Ambleside doggy park?

I along with a few other anglers, tried to fish this area last year, & although there were a few coho in the water, they weren't biting at all. Hopefully, it will be a different story this time.

I have fished out on the chuck at the mouth and it can be tricky. If the fish have been piled up out front for any length of time they have a tendency to become pretty tight lipped. We have been fishing out there with coho everywhere....you can see them swimming right around the boat and they just won't bite.

There may be some other guys with some advice but you may have just run into fish that have been there for awhile and they move out of "feeding" mode.
