Oh, and just to make sure I'm contributing...I went about a week ago and only found steelies and lots of high water!

When steel are in places/pools you are fishing, would it be safe to assume that they are still on their redds and are chasing other fish away?? Don't want to waste my time and/or harass spawning fish...

went out last Saturday and can confirm the same. I think it was Hotrod who passed on some Native knowledge last year about this time. I believe he said that when the Cottonwood trees are blooming the Ho's are in. Well there was Cottonwood fluff every where on Monday so here's hoping the info holds true. Everything in the garden is late this year so let's hope the fish have adjusted their schedules as well.

The hos are in and the cottonwood are flying since last Sunday they have been moving through! There has been a blockade of seals at the mouth. Sometimes as many as 18.That's why they are a few weeks behind!
