Generally speaking, if you are fly fishing for coho, you want to find them in slow moving water. And, while you can take coho by drifting or swinging a fly, casting and retrieving probably accounts for the majority of fly caught coho. The problem is that most of the water in the Capilano flows too quickly to make fly fishing as productive as float or spin fishing. Not saying it can't be done, but it's going to be tougher in the Cap than in other lower mainland rivers.
