Saw a mid-size bear around 5pm Saturday afternoon around the general area between Willows and Washed Out. The bear came down a very steep embankment across the river just across washed out and was not deterred from our shouting. The smell of dead fish in the area is just too much for them to easily go away from shouting. Becarefull out there guys. To those who is not familiar with Willows and Washed out it's number 34 and 35 on the map.

friends that were out on Sat saw one behind the "on the way" store, strolled down the bank and payed no attention to them, making noises to scare it off did not seem to make any difference, the bear just kept doing it's thing so they packed it in and left.

Searun and his son guppy saw the same bear. It came out of the new beaver dam area. Yes the smell of dead fish and of course the roe we all carry must be attracting to those bears.

One of my friends told me he was up at the vedder the other day and right when he was gona leave he noticed a black bear walking down the beach. He yelled and threw big rocks at it but the bear didn't budge. He said the bear just stood there for almost half an hour before walking off into the bushes. Scary how brave some of these bears are getting.

Took the dog for a walk on the Allouette today and also saw lots of bear tracks. Our neighbor had one in his yard on Saturday just rolling around in the garden.
