mind if i ask how ppl fish the chehalis canyon pools? are they drifting or throwing spoons and spinners never fished there but i picture it all deep pools. thanx and anyone have any new reports on chehalis?
All of the above. Usually when I am up in the canyon I will throw out a jensen or gooeybob without a float and a couple of split shots. I only use a float in the shallower areas and tailouts. Spoons and spinners work well also.
Bait in the big slow pools can be deadly, especially come summertime! However, if you find that too many juveniles end up attacking your bait (especially roe), switch over to blades or something less deadly.
