So anyone out today. Thinking of hitting it tomorrow before I'm off to Dallas TX for 5 days training. Going to go to the Cowboy's and Colts on Sunday. First NFL game. Should be cool.
I am heading there on sunday but i fear the weather may get in my way of heading into the canyon so I will attempt to find my way through the sea of chums. Last week almost all the chums i saw were below the hachery but there were tonnes of them and really slim hopes of finding a coho in that mess. However it is still a day on the river so who can complain.
Sorry for the late post but I have had no internet for 2 days due to a branch that fell and knocked out some lines. I hit the Chehalis yesterday with a buddy from work. We fished in the canyon and I manage to land 4 coho. 3 hatchery and one wild one plus lost about 4 others. Both I kept had a bit of color but nice and firm. The one in the photo was arounf 7-8lb's and the other was 11.6lb's on my scale but could take a pic as the batteries were weak due to the cold weather. The bigger one was cleaner than the one in the photo below. The water was high and almost un-fishable but still ok. There sure was a lot of trees down due to the last wind storm. Now I'm in Dallas for a few days so have to wait till next weekend to fish.
Cheers, Rob
PS: Missed that gill hanging out but oh well. Only pick I have.
