For any of you that are planning on heading to the Chilli/Vedder this weekend, the recent hot weather has bumped up the river over a meter in the last few days, taking away a lot of prime fly fishing spots...The flow is quite coloured and may be a bit "iffy" by the weekend....Better check with Fred's before heading out..............Ortho

Went out for a spin with a fellow in a new jetboat this evening..Launched at Barrowtown and headed up the Vedder supposedly for a few hundred yards...The river was running so high and fast we ended all the way up to and just past On-the - Way....Glad the boat was new and had a lot of ponies driving the pump..I was sweating a bit a few times but we never touched anything up or down...
Only passed one fishing person the whole way ......Very poor water for fishing.Hopefully it calms down by next week....

Wow! that must have been fun! I'll bet the river takes on a whole new look from a jetboat when she's running high and fast. Good to hear you are getting out, Steve. It must be nice to be back on the water after such a long recovery period...........Ortho
