I'm not pointing fingers at any of the members of this board, just getting some frustration out...
I'm getting extremely tired of cleaning up after the river pigs...
Messy fishers who leave line ,used gear ,garbage and recycleables on the beach....
I seem to be bringing back more garbage to Island 22 every day...I hope they get bigger garbage cans there for my deposits......
If you see offenders ,go over and chuck the crap in their boat...

I agree!

I hike quite far downriver from the gong show area at HWY#1 East Jones Lake/Laidlaw Exit Bar, and I collected and packed out a full kitchen garbage bag of garbage. All of it was fresh. A young native man came by on an ATV and was very thankful that I respect his land and was ok with me fishing there from now on. Keep up the good work, and I will too. I just can't leave that crap there.

i feel ya, steve. the mess just gets stupid out there. i try to pick up as much of the crap as i can. heck, if i picked up all the junk i saw, it would sink my little boat. :D as a side note, i appreciate it when i see people in big jet boats hauling out snags!! a friend of my dad's does this and it makes the fishing experience more enjoyable knowing i won't snag up as much. and there's a bonus in it for the people who do that. free gear!! think of all the stuff lost on that snag!!

Thanks abbyfireguy. The Fraser needs more of people like you. In December I was out at the Jone Lake exit area and easily filled a shopping bag with discarded fishing line. I returned to the same area on BC day and could not believe the mess that had accumulated since the sockeye opening. I was picking up what I could and people look at me like I was smoking crack!
