Just wondering if anyone is catching any Coho on a regular basis yet?? Seen and herd alot of springs, but not what im looking for. Anyone having any luck for them yet. I know that there are a few out there but will they get better later in the year?? Im also going to be fly fishing for them, any suggestions on fly types would be greatly apppreciated thanks!!
I've seen them splashing on the vedder on saturday but there not really to aggressive and seem kind of spooked in the clear water and are just blasting up the sides.

Which stats are you looking at?
Many of the saltwater guides along the coast have said its been one of the best years in a long time for Coho
and I have heard the same from locals all over the island.
I would be interested to see which stats and what they are describing
cheers

Take it for what it is than. Here on the island I have been out on the west coast and know a few guides. All of whom have said their are lots of coho and BIG ones!!! When I was out we ran into several coho. We were not even targeting them. We were trying to get the springs who were below the coho. Before the downriggers were all the way down a coho would hit the lure. Should be a decent coho year from all accounts.
Nice fish... At least you manage to land it. I have had nothing but bad luck. 0-6 coho so far. Lost 2 more today. Oh Well.... : : Looks like not much for rain so will have to try hard to find them. Seen 2 landed today. A ton of people out but such a nice day. Next trip Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday,,,,, Maybe Tuesday... NICE........
Cheers, Rob
caught a coho on thursday floating with roe mid river. Totally skunked on Sunday, trolling at the mouth. Didnt see anyone else with any fish out there trolling around either.
Sorry Hook not the Vedder. Hey I got one too apart from the bear. In fact I got a few 8). PS. I'm holding the fish by the gills cause I bonked it after. Yes I know it's a beautiful wild fish. I was lucky enough to fish in Terrace over the weekend (27th Sep) :beerchug:
you lucky SOB  nice fish. I would love to get up to Terrace for some coho fishing.
