I have noticed a few guys at the Falls Pool on the Stamp using Colorado blades as part of a set-up.
At times they seem to do very well. Any thoughts on this technique and info on the best set-up would be greatly appreciated. Thinking I would give it go later this week.

They work well in late feb to march! A good weapon to keep in the arsenal.

Hope this helps flatlander, certainly Steelhead love flashing metal in it's various forms, especially considering they see little of it North of the border. As for it being better at certain times of the year, not my findings, I have taken summer, summer/fall and winter runs on the technique and find choosing the right metal finish in conjunction with blade size to be the key ingredient, keeping river conditions in mind as well(high, low, colored, clear).

Building your own blades is cheap and easy as well :thumbup:.
