Me and some buddies are heading up to Cultus for the long weekend. Being a fishoholic Im wondering if the fishing there is any good. I see that there is a veriety of trout and other species, but I've never heard of Cultus being a good fishing lake. Any info would help. Thanks

Its good if you like catching Northern Pike Minnows :p. I've seen the old timers out there in the spring fishing deep with spoons ect. but this time of year you wont see too many people fishing. There is a creek that comes in near the cliffs (Lindell beach) end that might be worth while. Fish the mouth where it flows into the lake but be prepared to catch 10 NPM to 1 trout  Nice place to be in the summer though 8)

I would head over to the Vedder and try for some springs

There are fish to be had, but the summer fishing is like the rest of the year. You need to fish deep and use some small wobbling spoons/quickfish/etc. at 50 feet or so. Troll along the western shore and get it done EARLY in the morning 'cause the first boats towing tubers and boarders, and skiiers will quickly turn the lake into a froth.
The wind always comes up on the lake around 11:00am especially when the day is sunny, and will die off around 7-8pm..Have fun.............Ortho 8)

Thanks guys, we will try the Veter. Its more of a party weekend but he has a small boat so why not try it out. Maybe we will get lucky. How about a ford fender/wedding band with a worm?
