I live right by Derby but never fish it....I know people bar fish it for the springs...how would it be chucking some spoons there for the pinks?

It's always busy but if you can camp and "claim" your own spot up river from the gate you should do alright bar fishing. Not sure about chucking spinners and spoons though. Give her a go and let us know!

Before I got my boat that was one of my many spots. You cand do well there for sure.

thanks guys! been down there 4 times in the last 2 days, to have a look. Twice there were large school of pinks jumping and porpoising(sp?) their way up river. Other 2 times it was totally dead-looking. (likely tides?)
Might go give it a whirl at lunch
