Hey Guys

Just wondering if they have reopened the boat launch at the mouth of Nikomen yet. Last time I saw it the whole park was still under water.

Good question. Last week I checked with the folks at the Harrison Mills camping area. The launch there is open though they said the mosquitos were very thick. In past years with high water levels, it seemed the two launches were closed at similar times and reopened at similar times. I may take a sunday drive up around that loop. If I do I'll report back.

Last time I went by the sign still said that the Dewdney Launch was closed. I know it will remain closed unless they can find a full time attendant for the park.

I'm hearing from guys on the river that they're launching at Dewdney but Derouche is still closed due to a Farmer/Municipality dispute.

Launched at Dewdney yesterday no-one there to collect your 5 bucks, saw a couple seals hanging around the mouth too.

Hey Guys

I called the Fraser Valley Regional District office in Chilliwack today and was told that the launch is open and there will be a full time attendant but that he is currently sick and not on site at this time.
